Our Penn State trip with the kids......

Jake kept asking if he was going to buy lunch at the game....we promised him YES....so we walked from the truck through the mounds of trash and passed the dunk swearing tailgaters ....made it to the stands and began walking up. Jake kept commenting on the height that we were traveling to. Before we went to our seats we of course bought lunch and we even let Madi eat this time....Madi pretzel, Jake nachos....that all oh and Mountain Dew!!!! WE make our way up to our seats and Jake....5 feet behind me clinging to the railing in the itty bitty stairs/walkspace (which if you see the people at the game you wonder how and the hell did they fit!!! Oh and they stink too!!!) At the top Jake starting bawling....he and I went back down....so here is a picture of our make shift seat until....the bouncing....Jake didn't like it and he didn't understand why they had to do it....I told him "Honey, these people don't get out much...see what has happened to their lives....sad, huh?" We then traveled to the ground level....then Alex and Madi met up with us about ten minutes left in the half. And then we finally left.....walked around and went shopping)

After Jake's pic w/ the statue...he turned the players in the background and Joe Pa...into Giraffes!!!! He also casted spells on them.....then he turned a boulder into a statue of me....

Ok.....well a 6 hour trip up and 5.5 hours coming back....makes for a long day! The kids did very well!!!! We only had 2 stops at Wawa and a McD's on the way up....and against Jake's wishes they were only to satisfy his bathroom needs not his hunger needs. (we didn't starve them....they snacked and we did limit their intake because that would mean more stops.) On the way back we made 1 stop at a McD's before we got in the truck, and the McD's in Harrisburg...and yes we let them eat and then dinner when we got home....Jake is an excellent McDonalds and Wawa finder!!!!
This was the one thing Jake wanted to see at Penn State...the "Nittany Lion"
Truck entertainment...Garfield

Penn State is such a magical place. I love it there, we will have to go together some time.
