Ok well....today was a busy day!! The kids arrived and we started getting ready. Jake was the first one ready, (cup and all) the first thing he did was knock on it...shocking I know. The parade was at 9a.m. and Madi was w/ me and Jake was w/ Alex. We made it down to the ballpark. They announcements pushed back our 10 a.m. game but Madi and another player on my team won door prizes...Madi's was a pack of tix from Jungle Jim's and Brittney won an autographed ball from a retired the Indians Pitcher that now resides in Lewes.
I missed Jake's game but Alex taped it...we still have some things to work on, like paying attention and not tagging everyone that comes by whether he has the ball or not.
Madi's game was good. A learning experience for me. During the parade Dean shared the new rules w/ me and boy were they tough. Max 5 runs an inning. Everyone must play 1 inning in the infield. At least my 14th player was on another roster or something so I have 13 players....yes my fav #. Now, to Madi....she had the BEST game ever!!! She played catcher, 3rd base and 1st base....just realized I was bias...I totally didn't mean it...but she did sit an inning. She had 3 singles, 3 RBIs and caught a line drive at 3rd. We're impressed w/ her improvements and her performance!!! She's noticing that practice pays off.
We relaxed today once we were home. Madi made her homemade spaghetti for us w/ buttered bread. For dessert we went to DQ and hung out at the beach and took pictures....as you can see. That's about it... it was enjoying for the most part...
